Spiders and Flies

Players: 6+

Description:
You need to have two Safe areas either side of the playing area. You choose one player to be the Spider; they stand in the Middle of the playing area and are allowed to move anywhere within this area. All the other players are the Flies and stand in the Safe area on one side of the room, or marked area if outside. The Spider shouts as loudly as he/she can "I am the Spider" to which the Flies shout back "We are the Flies" Spider then says, "I'm going to get you" To which the Flies reply, "You can try". The Spider then shouts "GO" the Flies then have to run all the way across to the other side without the spider catching them. Any players caught become extra Spiders and the Words are then in Plural. This continues until only one player is left and they become the new Spider. If playing with a lot of people then you can have more Spiders to start.(British Bulldog Variant)

Variation:
Create a Giant Web on the Ground either painted or with masking tape. The spiders can only move along the lines of the tape and cannot jump across from one line to another, but must follow until they get to a connecting line. The Web needs to be big enough to not bump into other people.
